2023 is the year of anniversaries in the German Watch Museum Glashütte. The museum itself celebrates its 15th anniversary and even the museum building, which formerly was the German School of Watchmaking Glashütte, has a good reason to be celebrated, too. It´s been exactly 100 years, when the striking extension to the building, which leaves its mark on the townscape of Glashütte, was dedicated. At the same time, in 1923, the historical tower clock of the building was put into operation. It was constructed by the company J.F. Weule in Bockenem (Germany, Lower Saxony), which was a world-famous tower clock factory at this time.

The new exhibition in the foyer of the museum celebrates these two objects, which have their 100th anniversary this year and can be visited until the middle of September 2023 during the usual opening hours from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
