Today is the day: Hermann Goertz’s Astronomical Art Clock is 100 years old! Celebrate with us!
The Astronomical Art Clock is without doubt one of the highlights of a visit to the German Watch Museum in Glashütte. It was completed by its builder Hermann Goertz on 17 October 1925 after a good three decades of construction. The 100th anniversary is of course a reason for us to celebrate. We would like to do this with our guests. We cordially invite you to visit the Watch Museum today, 17 October 2025 to congratulate the “birthday child” in person. On this anniversary day, all visitors will receive discounted admission to the Watch Museum. During opening hours, we will be happy to provide explanations and answer any questions you may have about the Astronomical Art Clock. Further information about the clock can be found in our current special exhibition “LEAP IN TIME”.
We look forward to your visit!
