As a joint project of Bauconzept® Planungsgesellschaft mbH and the Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH, this book provides an interesting insight into the history and the restoration of the historical building of the former School of Watchmaking in Glashütte.

The construction phase of the new German Watch Museum in Glashütte is explained from an architectural perspective, just as is the artistic implementation of the museum concept.

Atmospheric images of the different exhibition rooms and brilliant photos of selected exhibits convey a fascinating insight into the modern time-world, which was opened in May 2008.

Furthermore, there is an introduction to the Glashütte Original School of Watchmaking “Alfred Helwig”, also housed in the building. This famous school closes the circle of past, present and future with the training of young watchmakers.
