The foundation’s mission will be carried out in various areas:

  • Through the service of the Watch Museum Glashütte
  • By building up the collection through purchasing or lending
  • Through the thematic organisation of exhibitions and the presentation of the collection, or selections thereof, outside the museum
  • Via the establishment and maintenance of a specialist technical library, archives and a public workshop so that they are available to the general public
  • Through the allocation of awards and stipends to students of the watchmaking trade
  • Via grants to fund printing costs and support publication
